Kopra pak/coconut burfi is a gujarati mithai/dessert made with the blend of mawa/khoya, coconut, sugar and dry fruit.]

This is a very easy recipe to serve your family members or friends with a fabulous dessert after the meal. 

Dump all the ingredients into a pan and mix them well for around 15 minutes and then set them into any tray and let it cool. Then cut into pieces and serve each piece separately. That’s All.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups of coconut

  • 1 Cup sugar

  • 1 Cup of Milk

  • A bit of Saffron

  • 250gm Mawa/Khoya

  • 1/2 spoon of cardamom

  • Few Almonds, Pistachio or dry fruits.

Steps

  • Take a pan and greece it with the oil.
  • Add Mawa with sugar in the pan and stir until it mixes well and combines in each other and gives a good tough texture.
  • After that add the coconut and saffron in that tough combined mixture and stir them for a few more minutes in low flame (otherwise the mixture will get hard or spoil).
  • Make them cook for at least 10-15 minutes on low flames and stir them continuously.
  • Take all the mixture on the greeced Tray so the mixtures will not stick into the tray. Spread them properly all over.
  • Garnish pistachio, almond or any other dry fruits and press them a little so they will stick with the burfi.
  • Let it cool completely, then you can cut them into diamond or square pieces and can serve to your family or friends.

Pro Tip

  • The Coconut Burfi will taste heavenly when it will be served with mango share, mix them both and just enjoy the best ever homemade dessert.
  • Serving: You can serve 1 piece to each person and can be served on the occasions of holi, diwali, raksha bandhan as these sweets are into pieces so it will be easy to serve it separately.
